Toasting the Crown – Display & Floor talks
Toasting the Crown celebrates the visit of His Royal Highness Prince Edward The Prince of Wales (late King Edward VIII) to Adelaide in July 1920. King George V was on the throne when Prince Edward visited Adelaide.
Many celebrations were held and of course the current Governor, Lieutenant Colonel Sir William Ernest George Archibald Weigall KCMG was one to host events to celebrate his visit.
Our display will showcase 1920s costumes and accessories from our collection.
Join our floor talks to learn more about the fashions and the history of the Roaring Twenties.
