Ayers House has a long history of providing a film location for some of Australia's most well-recognised films including "Under Capricorn", "Shadows of the Heart", "Robbery Under Arms" and "Term of his Natural Life". In 2006 Ayers House played host to the film set of the spectacular Bollywood movie "Love Story 2050".
Ayers House has many important elements to offer as a film location:
- A fabulous collection of period furniture, furnishings and decorative arts
- Rooms filled from wall to ceiling with nineteenth century treasures
- Beautiful painted decoration on walls and ceilings adding fantastic colour and vibrancy to sets
- Ideal scale and proportions of the rooms for filming
- Plus a wide variety of rooms and locations to choose from including bedrooms, drawing and sitting rooms, dining rooms, grand staircase, hallways and even bathroom and kitchens.
The National Trust supports the use of its properties for television commercials, documentaries, educational films/programs, mini-series, feature films and fashion shoots.
